Frontline monsters

Frontline monsters are high-HP monsters that anchor Attack Phase clashes on contested hexes. They are typically recruited by Scarlet Will and Pandemyuon Empire, but every faction can field frontline monsters once the Brigandine artifact grows. Frontline monsters are most effective when supported by Rally actions from a high-level general.

Magical monsters

Magical monsters amplify Rally actions and Brigandine aura. They are typically recruited by Mystiaine and Pandemyuon Empire, and they are most effective when paired with magical specialists. Magical monsters scale with the Brigandine artifact growth and are best deployed behind a frontline of knights.

Support monsters

Support monsters heal or buff friendly units in adjacent hexes. They are typically recruited by Alicebell and Samura Clan Republic, and they are most effective when paired with defensive terrain bonuses. Support monsters scale with the Brigandine artifact growth and are best deployed alongside elite knights.

Faction-affinity monsters

Faction-affinity monsters unlock through per-faction Brigandine growth. Each faction has a small set of monsters with a strong affinity to its leader and Brigandine artifact. Faction-affinity monsters are most effective when paired with the matching faction's roster; cross-faction use is possible but less powerful.
